The Right Stuff...

Sometimes it seems like just doing a good job isn’t enough.  Even though you’ve hit your stride; even though you are having fun with it; even though you know that what you’ve done is your best work; you find that you’re aiming at the wrong target. Success comes not from just doing things right.  Although that is a key ingredient, it is critical that you are focusing on the right things. When you start looking at the next version of Visual Studio and SQL Server you find that someone was paying attention to the right things. From the snippet manager to the integration of Visual Studio to develop database projects, it all makes sense. By providing the developer with the right set of tools it is almost the natural logical extension to making it cleaner and easier to develop software.

You might be asking where you can get your hands on a copy of these cool tools. How much does it cost to be a part of this revolution? I’m happy to report that you can get your copy by attending a live MSDN event for FREE! That’s right, the latest beta software, as well as ton of other useful tools, tips & tricks are packed into the DVD set that we give away at our events.

This quarter we’re talking about Service Oriented Architecture or SOA. It’s a relatively new way of designing how applications communicate and take advantage of the information dispersed throughout a system. Because this data is key to providing the end functionality our customers require, the concept of an open communications scheme has evolved. We call these Web Services. In this quarter’s MSDN events you will leave the event with an understanding of what SOA is and how you can leverage it to build better, more scalable and secure systems.  Get a complete overview of our topics by visiting the MSDN Event site below. Are you really using the .NET Framework to the fullest in your Windows Forms applications...
