Another season of fun

MSDN Live! In Dallas & Fort Worth

So I've made it into the new season of MSDN presenting and today was the start of something pretty cool. My manager and his boss were both at my event today in Fort Worth, and this being the first time through the content was a bit harried. I've gotten my excuses out of my system, so let's go do this for the right reasons. No excuses, just good content done up right, the way that you want it.

The content for this quarter is InfoPath, building ASP Custom Controls, and to preview some ASP.NET 2.0 stuff that will be part of Whidbey and VS 2005. Like SQL Reporting Services showed how you can dramatically reduce time to delivery for that type of application, Infopath is going to do the same for capturing input. It will reduce the cost of delivery of large scale integration projects that depend on a broad reach that architects now dream of, and provide the vehicle for delivering on capturing new data quickly and cost effectively.

Ok enough marketing babble. You should be excited about this product because it will free you from the monotony of writing the same code over and over again. It will make you look good because you'll be able to make changes quickly and without major pain...

enough. Now I need to figure out what to do next. I've got time on my hands, I think it is time to build the Report Services web control and DNN module. I will be demoing this in a few weeks as part of a web cast, so check it out. I think it is sometime in September?  We'll see.

Enjoy!
